Mebel Internasional Contributes to Improving Student Skills through Internship Programs

Mebel Internasional, a leading furniture company in Indonesia, continues to strengthen its commitment in supporting the skills development of the younger generation through internship programs for university students. Started in September 2024, the program involves five students from various universities in Indonesia with interests in manufacturing, design, and industrial management.

The program provides an opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience in the furniture industry, introducing them to production processes, quality management, and product development. With the guidance of professionals at Mebel Internasional, students are given access to the latest technology and best practices applied in the modern furniture industry.
According to Mr. Christianto Prabawa, CEO of Mebel Internasional, the internship program is not only the company’s contribution in equipping students with relevant skills, but also creates opportunities for them to learn the reality of the industry and build a strong work portfolio. “We hope that through this program, students can develop their technical skills while understanding the real dynamics of the industry. In addition, we want to prepare them to be ready to contribute to the workforce after graduation,” said Christianto Prabawa.

Since the first month of the program, the students have been involved in various important projects at the company, ranging from assisting in the design of new products to conducting quality analysis of export-ready products. Not only are they involved in practical work, they also participate in training sessions, group discussions, and visits to various departments in the company to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the company’s structure and operations.

The students who participated in this program admitted that the experience they gained at Mebel Internasional was valuable and different from classroom learning. “We not only learn about the manufacturing process, but also how to work in a team, overcome project challenges, and apply the theories learned into real practice. This really enriches our knowledge and prepares us better for our future career,” said one of the interns.

The internship program run by Mebel Internasional is expected to continue and become a model that inspires other companies in Indonesia to support the improvement of education quality through direct experience in the field. Mebel Internasional is proud to be part of the learning journey of Indonesian students, who will bring new skills and passion to the national industry.
