Mebel International’s Blood Donation Event in Commemoration of Heroes’ Day
Semarang, November 9, 2024 – In commemoration of Heroes’ Day, Mebel International (MI) in collaboration with Kapika and several other companies successfully held a blood donation event on Saturday, November 9, 2024. This activity was held at the MI head office and took place from 08.30 to 12.00 WIB.
The activity, which aims to help fulfill blood stocks at PMI Semarang, was attended by 48 donors. The participants consisted of MI employees and representatives from various companies that participated in the collaboration. With a significant number of donors, this activity is expected to be able to contribute directly to people who need blood transfusions, especially in the Semarang and surrounding areas.
The Spirit of Heroism in Social Action
In his remarks, the Director of MI expressed his appreciation to all donors and participating parties. “This blood donation activity is a tangible manifestation of the spirit of heroism that we commemorate today. We want to commemorate the services of heroes with concrete actions that benefit the community,” he said.
The event was also attended by representatives from Kapika who fully supported the event. PMI ensured that the entire process went according to health and safety standards, from checking the health of donors to drawing blood.
Enthusiasm and Social Awareness
This blood donation activity not only showed solidarity between companies, but also raised social awareness among the participants. One MI employee who became a donor expressed his pride in participating. “Being a donor is my small way of contributing to society. It is a valuable experience that gives more meaning on Heroes’ Day,” said Mr. Dani, a MI production staff.

With 48 blood bags collected, Mebel International and Kapika hope to continue contributing in similar social activities in the future. This collaboration is the first step to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation, especially in emergency situations that require sufficient blood availability.
